That's funny to hear the story about Gibb's lyrics! Honestly I'd never really thought about it, but now that you mention it, those lyrics really kinda don't make any sense with the vibe and feel of the film. Oh well it was the Seventies, anything went!

I love Grease, I saw it at the drive-in when I was about five years old, and my parents were always listening to the soundtrack. By the time I was seven I had the movie on betamax and a nifty 8-track to listen to on my portable Panasonic player! My mom told me later that she was a little concerned with me listening to songs like "Greased Lighting" due to the subject matter, but then realised I didn't have a clue what they were singing anyhow.

I know I'm in the minority by saying this.....but I love Grease 2. It is a pretty bad film overall but I didn't see it that way as a kid (I was 9) and it just has sentimental attachment for me. I have actually met quite a few closet Grease 2 fans over the years, who usually say, "Y'know that movie does kinda suck....but I still like it!"

Oh, and you guys just had me in tears as I was reading your comments of disdain for the Groucho-Marx dancin' guy!!!! Years ago a couple of friends and I would always complain about that guy and just crack up thinking about him. I hadn't thought about that in years, and it's hilarious to see we weren't the only ones who felt that way! Makes me want to call my old buddies just to tell them....
