    Pooped Pants thread

    Ok,
This thread is not what you think --- and i'm glad too

    Seriously though,

I've noticed there are two distinct ways people refer to the act spoken of in the thread title.
Each version averages about 50% in the American English language.

    It's either .....

    "he pooped his pants"

    or

    "he pooped IN his pants"

It's not a region thing either.
    Both versions are everywhere.

    Which version are you ?

I think he is saying it the nice way (substitute the "S" word for poop and than say it).

"He pooped his pants" is what I say

I'm more of the "he pooped in his pants" because it sounds more right to me.

For me, it would be like saying" this is the funnest game ever!"

I know there are people who say "he pooped his pants", and I respect them in any way possible.

(but seeing someone pooped in their pants would be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!)
My heighten mutant sense never lies..........................................This ain't lemonade.

In a way, this talk is very similar to our conversation a few years ago about how people pronounce the word crayons.

          Is it

          CRAY - ON'S
          or
          CRAN'S

          I say CRAY - ON'S
I also say, "he pooped IN his pants"

I believe the "in" could be assumed, but I'm just as likely to say it either way.

I think using the word "having" is very British.
                  Like saying "have a guess"

I've never heard anyone in the US use the term "having" like that.

"Dumped in his shorts" "Crapped his pants" "Dropped a deuce"

I used to work with a disgusting troll of a person who would regularly do this, and thought it was funny. He is about 42, and has no concept of hygiene at all. Oddly enough he has a rather big ego, and thinks very highly of himself. Not surprising however...he is single. Our Boss wouldn't do anything about it though because he was passive aggresive and a coward. As you can imagine I am glad to be rid of that dude, my boss too.

We say "pooped his pants". As already stated the "in" is already inferred.

                          Not really.
To me, "pooped his pants" sounds like he ate his pants and then pooped them out --- perhaps while wearing a different pair of pants

Exactly the same here. And I would never say taking a crap. That infers you are taking it with you when you leave???
Why would you take it on purpose unless it needs to be studied I guess.
