I watch it every time it's on, it's hypnotic and incredible.

There's a couple of films I haven't seen yet (like Captain America: Winter Soldier & Days Of Future Past) so they could potentially creep into this list. But as it stands now, here's what I've got-

Superman: The Movie
Batman Begins
The Avengers
Watchmen
Flash Gordon
X-Men: First Class
Iron Man
Thor: The Dark World
X-Men
The Amazing Spider-Man

I don't consider these "superhero" films so I didn't add them, but if it's just "comic book" movies then I'd add V for Vendetta and Sin City to that list too.

And Palitoy - it is not flipping the script that I like best. It is that there are 9.

Andafter seeing GotG i am not sure where to put it. I loved it, but they are not Characters I was invested in. Probably #21.

Remember what life was like in 1989 when you got Batman and the only truly good Superhero stuff was Superman 1 and 2, some cartoons we liked because there was nothing else that we are now nostalgic for, a Campy TV Batman and a good but dated Superman series.

In 1990 my movie list would have been -(Only 7 would be in today's top 50*)

7 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

*Increbible Hulk: Married, flash pilot and Wonder Woman Pilot were TV films but were great. Also there had been some good serials including Flash Gordon, Captain Marvel and Superman


PS Howard the Duck was next on the list -that is how bad things were.

1. Justice League:New Frontier. Hey Time Warner;this is how you do a Justice League movie.

2.Captain America

7.The Dark Knight. The Nolan films would be higher on my list but any more when I watch,I keep hearing Batman's voice from the comics going "We think with our heads,not our fists."

8.Fantastic Four. Yeah even with it's flaws,it's not really that bad.

9. The Incredible Hulk.

10.Watchmen.
