If anyone ever wonders why I've always liked Robin as much as Batman, it's because of not only his media interpretations from the 1970's but how he was interpreted in the comics as well, which inspired how he was portrayed for most of Batman: The Animated Series.
During this era of the Bronze Age, Dick Grayson was either 18 or 19 and he was attending college @ Hudson University and most of his adventures as Robin took place on and around campus. This was the Robin I liked. He was more competent a crimefighter as opposed to his "Boy Wonder" years. Other than that, he teamed with Batgirl in Batman Family and led the Teen Titans.
I just finished reading the Showcase collection of Robin stories that were mostly shorts from the Batman and Detective Comics from the late 60's and early 70's. As a kid in the 70's, I recall seeing Robin with Batman only on the live TV show and the 1977 New Adventures of Batman series and SuperFriends, but not in the comics.
I would like to find out about every comic that Robin appeared in from 1970 to 1979, especially in the pages of Batman and Detective Comics. Is there a website or some place online that would have that information? I especially loved it any time that Jim Aparo drew the Dick Grayson Robin as well as Batman, which I guess was not very much. In particular, the Batman story in Batman Family #17 with Scar and the Huntress.
Anyway, if anyone has any information on the Bronze Age Robin, I'd be most grateful.
Cheers.
