Siiigh...I’m not excited for anything ”Marvel Spider-related “ that Sony puts out, lately. They did a pretty bad job with both Venom movies, IMO...and I didn’t bother with Morbius (even though, I like the character to some extent). I’m not even a Spider-Man fan (for the most part), but I did enjoy the MCU Spider-Man movies (and the first two Sony Spider-Man movies), for what they were.

This looks like another “milk the Spider franchise until it’s dry, cash grab” movie.

doesn't look very good to me. i watched the Venom films too and both were meh. single view movies not worth watching again. i skipped Morbius too.

My major problem with Sony is your playing with Spider-Man characters without Spider-Man. This really hurts in the writing. The multiverse could be fun but they did not map it out well in the movies. So far all the spinoffs could have happened on the same MCU Earth but Sony keeps messing it up.

Sony wants to have the success of the MCU and flirt with being part of it, but still keep their own thing separate. doesn't work

              Madame Web.jpg

Boyfriend & I went and saw Sony's Madame Web today.

1st The Spider-Women in costume are future flashes and may appear in 3 minutes of the movie.

2cd This is the origin of Cassandra Webb becoming Madame Web and her connection to Spider-Man/Peter Parker.

3rd Spider-Women all are connected to Cassandra in the movie but do not get their powers.

4th Ezekiel Sims is treated as your typical Marvel throw-away character.

All in all the movie version leads up to Marvel'/Sony's version of Birds of Prey/Charlie's Angels. Not sure if this leads into three seperate movies or the girls are going to stay together. The movie was "Ok". The story itself needs some work.

If you have not read Marvel Comics beyond the main characters you will be lost. I read the early Madame Web & Julia Carpenter stories and went back and read the other Spider-Women once they started to show up in the cartoons. If you haven't done your homework than this movie is just confusing.
