not much has changed for me. I was ten in 77 too. I think today I wouldn't pick Isis. I might put Aquaman in 5th today. I've grown to love the King of the seas as an adult.
1. Wonder Woman
2. Supergirl
3. Superman
4. Flash
5. Isis

Force Commader

Reason: Update
Shazam - My favorite comics character and the one I had the most issues of. I had all those giant-sized specials and re-read them numerous times. I've still got a soft spot for him.
Batman - Adam West and the Mego Batcave I had made this guy a no-brainer.
Superman - After the movie, he was solidified in my brain as a favorite. He's always been misunderstood and never fully appreciated.
Green Lantern and Green Arrow - I was eight or nine and reading the O'Neill/Adams reprint books with a little too much adult content and political stuff. I didn't understand everything, but I thought they were the coolest.
Captain America - I had many issues of Cap and Falcon back in the day. He was such a visual treat and Falcon was darn cool too. Actually today, I like him more than Cap.
Scott
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
OK.
Since its supposed to be 5, and Superheroes, I'll try just 5 superheroes. I'll pick from stories I read at approximately that age. DC was my thing then. Justice League, World's Finest, Batman Family, Shazam family.... I ate it all up.
Batman
Shazam
Superman (Because of the movie, never muched liked him in the comics)
Hawkman
Green Arrow
I think this is a fair list. Captain Canuck and Xmen I read when I was 12 so I'll leave Canuck and Wolvie off. And although Force Commander was in a comic which I had every issue of, he's not technically a superhero.
Better?

Reason: typo
Honorable mentions go to the SMDM, BW and Hulk (Lou Ferrigno) as I really don't consider these to be real superheroes.
