    DC/VErtigo HBO Max DMZ

    HBO Max DMZ 1.jpg
Alma Ortega, an NYC medic, becomes a symbol of hope in a demilitarized Manhattan Island while trying to find her son, who wandered off instead of sticking with her during their evacuation from Manhattan during the Second American Civil War.

This 4 hour mini-series does take liberties with the original comic book and that is a good thing. Most of the characters of actors of color and Rosario Dawson was really good. According to the Showrunner Roberto Patino there isn't a follow-up coming. It was a good story that wrapped it up nicely.

I thought it was boring and only watched an episode and a half.

I love to see more Comic Books that do not have Super-Heroes used as resource into tv/movies. With DMZ the action (gang fight) happened in the back half of the series.
