This has been my favorite show in quite a while. Smartly written characters, sharp dialogue, and extremely inappropriate humor.

I had to come back and thank you all for recommending this series. I only watched 2 eps, but I'm loving it! It's hilarious! I think having absolutely no connection with the source material allows me to watch without expectation.

Has anyone tried to make a custom of Vigilante? would look pretty cool.

After watching Peacemaker I had to dig out my old run of Vigilante (1987) issues 36 - 38 & 41 - 43 & let's just say they were not exactly best friends

I am ashamed to admit that I never connected the dots that Peacemaker's friend Adrian / Vigilante was supposed to be Adrian Chase. It is such a goofy take on the character.

Admittedly, I mostly know the character from Arrow... which I know was not very faithful to the comics either.

    Christopher Smith a.k.a. Peacemaker
    Comic Book bio:
Pacifist diplomat Christopher Smith is the Peacemaker, a man who loves peace so much, he is willing to kill anyone who stands in its way.

    TV Show bio:
A merciless killer who believes in achieving peace at any cost. Showrunner James Gunn described the character as a "superhero/supervillain/[the] world's biggest ******bag".
Thanks for this. I always really appreciate when you do this for those of us not familiar with the comics background of new shows. Now I just have to go check it out.

Quite a good show, Cena is definitely the weakest link, but being cast as a putz helps bring out the "best" in him in that regard. He's certainly not terrible.

James Gunn can do no wrong. It's the smart writing and character development that makes this show and that's all Gunn.

Completely agree. Between this and "Doom Patrol", DC and HBO have really been producing some fantastic television.

Also, every episode has a little "mid-credits" extra-- usually an extended take of one of the scenes. If you haven't already seen them, you should definitely check them out!

I'm four eps in and really enjoying it. Such a great cast of characters and all very well played and written.. I'm actually finding Peacemaker the weakest link among them

I only watched episode 1 so far...but WOW. James Gunn unfiltered. Makes Deadpool look like it should be rated G. Wrong on just about every level, but very entertaining.
