New WW Animated Movie

I thought that worked well too...Wonder Woman was missing a lot of her great history when the Perez reboot happened. I never bought that she was new to "Man's World" while her contemporaries like Supes and Bats had about 5-10 years under their belts. And having Black Canary take her spot as a founding member of the JLA (while an admirable attempt) just didn't feel right. Thankfully, that's been restored by a Superboy-Prime power punch.

Altho' the Timm version was certainly a big plus--I'm still not satisfied with how
little WW we've seen since the Carter days---and I feel the same about AQUAMAN
and CAPTAIN AMERICA (I can imagine CAP MARVEL fans feel the same)--
This movie is appreciated and eagerly anticipated.Leave a comment:

Ya know, I thought that was one of Byrne's better ideas. Great way to retrofit a WW back into golden age continuity.Leave a comment:

Looks like a good animated movie.
Gee. I wonder if they will have her mother become another Wonder Woman and go back in time and fight along the heroes during World War II?
Probably not.Leave a comment:

This is a dream come true! I can't wait for a Wonder Woman movie! Live action or animated is good with me. I like the look of her. I just hope they put an eagle on her chest. I don't like the WW logo they used on Justice League and the later Super Powers show.Leave a comment:

I really hope Warners is done with that Justice League movie idea. The casting and plot sounded horrible. It had "Speed Racer" written all over it, the kind of expensive crapfest that everyone else in the world knows will bomb, EXCEPT for the people making it.
I'd LOVE to see a JLA movie down the line, after they establish the Leaguers in their own movies. And if Batman and Supes are in it, it has to be Bale and Routh.

Actually I should have said "front" burner...to my knowledge, the live-action flick is in limbo but I can't help but wonder if this DVD release will generate renewed interest in the property.I hate to say this, but I hope so. I don't have much faith in a live-action version of Diana, whether it's a solo movie or with the Justice League. I think an animated version has the potential to stay more true to everything I love about her. The only exception being if they could go back in time and cast a young Linda Carter.Leave a comment:

I think it looks a bit like Adam Hughes' Greek-looking interpretation. Helps separate the look from the JLU design, and is MUCH better than Superman's hideous cheekbones/facial scars from "Superman: Doomsday" DTV movie.that's a weird profile for WW; in any case i will definitely rent this, at least.
