That was the most bland, boring, unexciting, sleep inducing Marvel teaser trailer I’ve ever seen.

I think we've seen some glimpses of the Celestials in the GOTG movies and (so I read) in Infinity War. They originated with Kirby in The Eternals.

The Eternals were Kirby's high-concept for Marvel like Fourth World was when he was at DC. DC has worked Fourth World concepts and characters into their cinematic and animated universe and it's a big part of all that. I think it's appropriate that everyone is wondering how The Eternals fit in because from what I have read, Kirby resisted the notion of making them part of the Marvel Universe and when Marvel tried to make him, he found a way to pull an end-around (Issue 15 of The Eternals).

I have a feeling that the end result will be something like if you crossed the first Thor movie and Black Panther. Decent story and visually pleasing. Nothing that will blow you away like the action packed Marvel features. I'm interested in seeing it...but it will definitely NOT be a blockbuster. It will definitely set up other aspects of the MCU as far as introducing or re-introducing character / teams back in the fold.

I read the first run of The Eternals about 10 years ago while on a Jack Kirby kick. As far as the comics go, I think anybody who has a feel for Kirby's work would find it interesting and possibly enjoyable as an appreciation of Jack Kirby and his style. I'm no Kirby scholar and while I could probably enlighten some my friends if they showed an interest, there's nothing I could add to the knowledge base of this group when it comes to Kirby's solo work. That said, I do remember that it is supposed that Kirby was using some parallels from Erich von Danikan's book "Chariots of the Gods" and that might tap into whatever interest there might be from folks that watch "Ancient Aliens" on History channel. I suppose that might be one answer to "why this series about a little known comic?".

I am interested in this and know a little of the comics concept, but I also got an Inhumans vibe from this.

Wonder if this is how Marvel is going to sow the seeds for the Mutants to come to the MCU

You know, I had a stack of Eternals comics, mostly from 3 packs as a kid, I have no idea what was going on.

I can't even name a character but this looks interesting.

I am going to be truthful, I do not know that much about The Eternals. I think I have a collection in my Comic Book boxes, but I cannot be sure. This movie could be another GOTG hit or bomb because they are not household names. Between The Eternals, Inhumans and Mutants, the Mutants outlasted and have outsold them all.
