I agree that Ratcatcher was the best of the bunch imo and absolutely the "I'm not crying, you're crying" bit. Not groundbreaking but a good movie. There were definite parts in the movie that I missed being with a theatre crowd to share in the big laughs. Some creepy moments like the lab and polka dot man. Great Harley Quinn scene. -

Boy do I hope we get another 1-2 movies. It felt like a real Suicide Squad movie with the deaths and twists. I just want to see some more classic Suicide Squad villains used in the future.Leave a comment:

I actually didn't mind the first Suicide Squad movie... the extended cut was particularly watchable.
(And having Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne in the same movie certainly didn't hurt.
)
(Birds of Prey on the other hand was just remarkably bad.)
The new one is pretty good. Great action set-pieces, gloriously over-the-top violence, suitably twisted comedy and some solid performances.
(Be sure to stick around for a post-credits sequence right at the end.)Leave a comment:

Oh, and Idris Elba as Bloodsport runs circles around Will Smith’s Deadshot.Leave a comment:

Man, what a great ride. It was super violent, over the top, absurd, shocking, funny, and well, everything worked to perfection.
The breakout star for me was Daniela Melchior, in the role of Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher II. She’s going to be a big star for sure. She’s adorable too.
John Cena was amazingly great too as The Peacemaker.
After disliking Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn on her previous two appearances, she finally won me over in this one.
Sly Stallone as Nanaue/King Shark, hilarious and terrifying at the same time, lol.
This movie, unlike most movies nowadays, deserves multiple viewings.
I hated the first Suicide Squad, hated Birds of Prey, but I loved The Suicide Squad!
James Gunn friggin rules! No wonder Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 are my favorite MCU movies.Leave a comment:

Just got back from it. It’s great. Humor, style, good action, beautiful to look at, and characters you actually care about. One of my favorite comic book movies. Shows what a difference a creative guy like Gunn makes.Leave a comment:
