Since I was only 5 when the 70s ended, this is a bit of a cheat. But I begged my Mom to buy these on a regular basis:
Action
Superman
Superman Family
DC Comics Presents
Adventure (had a few of these)
Batman
Detective
Brave and the Bold
Justice League of America
World's Finest
Amazing Spider-Man
Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man
Captain America
Marvel Team-Up
Marvel Tales with Spidey
Spidey Super Stories
I had a few titles that I had one issue here or there of, but those were the ones I had multiples of off the rack in the 70s.

Thanks for reminding me! Add Adventure Comics to my list of 70s reads as well as World's Finest (The Dollar Comics versions).Leave a comment:

I don't know if this was the same with anyone else, but for me there was always an element of extra value when you had a book with more than one hero.
Justice League rocked because it was Superfriends in comic book form with the DC Big Guns of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern etc etc.
Superman Family and Batman Family were cool because they had Supergirl, Robin, Batgirl etc in addition to the title hero.
Loved Marvel Team Up pairing Spiderman with another hero, Marvel Two In One which paired the Thing up, and The Avengers because it was packed full of cool characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor etc.
I always coveted The Treasury Editions that paired up Superman and Spiderman, or had Superman racing The Flash on the cover.Leave a comment:
