See, I thought this post would be about the continuity gaffs between Death of the New Gods and Final Crisis. Those are very legitimate blunders to vent about. IMO bringing Pacheco in for an issue (or two) isn't a bad thing.
I have to admit that I like Morrison quite a bit. I often have no idea where he's going, but he always presents some diamond shiney idea that captivates me. In FC #1, I loved that juxtaposition of Anthro and Kamandi. Darksied as a Mob/Club boss was a lot of fun. Really want to see more of that. Metron gave Anthro more the just fire.

I'm looking forward to the ride.
    Hey! Check out the pictures.

^^^ Also looking forward to seeing Morrison's Frankenstein character playing a big role in the series. He was my favorite Soldier and I'd really like to see him get a series sometime.

How exactly is Barry Allen resurrected? I imagine the reason DC is doing this is because of plans to make Flash into a big budget theatrical feature. I can't wait!

Okay, I'll give you that Justice dragged. (Kingdom Come was only four issues) Each issue seemed to set up only one thing in the next issue, and it was bi-monthly which didn't help.

After Identity Crisis and Infinite Crisis I made the choice to say no to anymore of these. I'll go back and re-read Crisis on Infinite Earths. Or Final Night. But Identity Crisis and Infinite Crisis came after Armageddon 2000, and Zero Hour; and they keep coming one right after another and they don't get any better. All trying to capture the urgency of the original Crisis.

So, they kill off Martian Manhunter and bring back Barry Allen, until they decide that it's time to bring back J'onn.

Pantha was decapitated in Infinite Crisis. It just seemed gratuitous. Shock value rather than story.

That's just my two cents - sorry for the rant.
