Looking for Batman experts! I have some Batman newspaper strip from the 1940's/Worth?

I have a few cut out strips of the old Batman newspaper run from the 40's. I was wondering, are they worth a lot? I mean these strips were from the World War 2 era and at the time paper drives were going on and it's been said that the Batman newspaper strips are rare because of it.

I was wondering if anyone here has knowledge about the history of the Batman newspaper series, and could help me out with identifying if they're worth much. Here's a few pictures of some of them:

Thanks Jason! And yeah aren't they cool? I just love them! The golden age duo is my favorite, and that old artwork is great. It's fun looking at the old roadsters and gansters in the stories. Plus, it's really neat to read the stuff on the back of the strips. There's like classifieds from that time and you could buy a house for 11k. Also, there was one article about Nazi papers being discovered where it stated that children were killed in gas chambers (not a good story in the sense of what was happening, but really interesting as that article was from 1945. That news must of been new and shocking at the time. These strips are like a look back into time!)

Overall, I have tons more strips that actually mostly complete the story (they're maybe missing maybe one or two pieces). The black and white feels like a wad of straigtened money. I was thinking of framing the stories and putting them on my wall.

Not bad! I'm not sure on the value of the comic strip thing...I have some complete Sunday Sections featuring Dick Tracy from the 40s...I think the Sunday ones would be worth more, the color and size thing and all. Dailies if they had certain criteria (an origin or introduction of a character) might be worth something...but a typical daily that just (slowly) advances the plot, maybe not so much.

But they'd look great matted and framed!

That's true that these are hard to place value-wise since there's just so many factors. Plus, there's not that crowd like comic books have. Batman #5 (or something like that) or the first Batman daily in a paper? Which wins the gold? :P (mine are just typical stories without any important character intros.)

But either way, like you said, they'll looks great framed and that's the reason I bought them. As much as I'd love these to be some hidden money treasure, I bought them because of my love for the original dynamic duo. I only spent like maybe $20 per lot, and overall I have one sunday story and two dailies. Not a bad price for spicing up my room with some affordable golden age printings right?

Those are VERY nice! I'm pretty clueless on value too, but I agree with everything Anthony said. The dailies look to really be the work of Bob Kane, or it at least his official ghost at the time, with him who knows. The Sundays look like Jack Burnley to me, and he did many of the strips.

Mike, by that time he was always referred to a "Batman", the logo just put a space in-between for his head.
