I was dreading the episode, and found it wasn't as bad as I had feared. Still not great, but at least Iris is left being her own character again, at least I hope, and not half-Flash. I just wish she would have said "Barry, YOU'RE The Flash". She kind of implied it, but I wanted to hear it.
Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome and I'm being brainwashed.

Yeah, I knew it was coming and still I watched. A whole episode designed to show all the world just how important Iris really is, you know, instead of actually making her important somehow.
So this guy Melting Pot ( what a horrible, terrible name ) can switch powers. "How con-veen-yent!" To quote the Church Lady.
Harry's Bad Hat is yet another in the endless list of 'crap we can just build overnight' here at STAR Labs and then never use again. No wonder there's no money for nice stuff. Would it hurt them to put up a couple pictures in that damn hallway or a ficus or two?
Oh, and I think it's kind of funny that they put the treadmill in front of the giant fan blades and then stack boxes of packing peanuts in front of them for protection. No money left to buy some foam rubber or used mattresses from Goodwill. Maybe Harry's hat will reveal how much better it might work if they turned the treadmill around.Leave a comment:

I forgot about Barry owning Star...don't they patent or sell some of this tech they whip up instantly? I would think it should save many lives worldwide as opposed to just helping correct whatever situation Barry's got into...or is that not a thing with Team Flash? I wish the writers would just let Iris be Barry's wife, and not try to shoehorn into "Team Flash" like they have in the last two seasons. It would make for more well-rounded characters if Barry had a life OUTSIDE of being the Flash. Iris could still get involved, but you know...as a reporter or something? Who pays these people? If Barry is still rich from Wells leaving him STAR Labs, why was he worried about his CSI job?

Tuned in for the first time in a while, mainly because I saw Jay was in it. It was ok, although yeah, Iris saves the day!
The new writers are really trying to force her on the audience a little, it feels inorganic. It was nice not to see Divoe, especially since we never see Bell or Biv....Leave a comment:

^ I really liked last night's episode, despite "We're the Flash" AGAIN. And although it's a bit trite to have Iris give Barry the solution, I would rather them justify her somehow, then continue to say how great she is, when she contributes nothing.
I appreciated the deviation from the Thinker plotline. This is what the show should be. Year-long arcs are REALLY tired for this show people. Find a new angle.

Hey, with all the genius people I know, maybe Iris can think of a way to save everyone.
I'd say this was the worst episode this season, but Jay and Jesse saved it a little bit just by being there.
