To me...there was only one jokey moment...I hated it...the Pac-Man scene, that was not a good idea, pretty bad in fact...

I thought Bautista stole the show in the first film and sort of amplified that times ten in this one. Only real downfall is that he never really does anything in this one. He's in some of the battles but never really does anything major (well aside from single handedly killing that space beast lol) but it doesn't take too much away overall.

He ain't called "Drax the Destroyer" for nothin', Hec! LOL!sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

I loved the Pac-Man moment, totally fit for the character, especially after he mentioned earlier that he was going to use his powers to do nonsense like that.
I guess Drax did blast that ship, but it still wasn't a big of a hero moment in my mind as some of the other characters got. But he definitely got plenty of good screen time.Comment

^I told my wife Star Lord is the perfect hero for us middle-age fanboys. He's just on the younger side of most of us, but his development is arrested in the 80s since he was abducted from Earth during many of our toy heydays. The Pac-Man bit is exactly what many of us would do with such powers.

Saw it yesterday.. kind of a mixed bag for me. Uneven in ways the first one wasn't, but it's hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice. Still lots to like, of course.Comment

Took the family to see this yesterday, we all really enjoyed it. I like the first one better, but this was still very fun, with great SFX, a lot of humor and a lot of heart. I won't spoil it, but one of the post credits (or rather, inter-credits) scenes sets up a character that I was hoping would finally make an appearance in the MCU.Comment

Saw it over the weekend. It was fun and funny, but overall felt like an expensive 2-part episode of a "Guardians of the Galaxy" TV show.Comment
