Finally finished watching the original 13 episode series from NBC and loved it. While I was doing some research on if it will return there were a few announcements that said that it may return as a regular series to replace Supernatural being that it is their last season this year. Has anyone else heard this news? It's funny cause this whole Spear Of Destiny storyline in Legends and the fact that Corrigan was in the Constantine series, including the last episode, makes me super psyched that I will see the Spectre on the CW really soon.

Constantine Fall 2017 CW??
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

There's supposedly an animated Constantine in the works for the CW seed in the vein of the Vixen series they ran. The trouble with reviving the show after now 2 seasons is that everyone involved with the show is no longer under contract, from showrunner down to production assistants. They have all likely moved on to other projects to keep earning money, so the question is can they get the cast back? Can they get the writers back? Can they get the effects crew back? etc. or find suitable replacements that work with the lesser budgets of the CW compared to NBC.
I remember when there were campaigns to save the show, the showrunner remained positive that something could be done up until the day they were all released form their contracts and then he posted a farewell saying, this was the death knell and there was no hope for saving the show as it had been. So, as much as I would like to see the show come back (it was my favorite of the DC shows launched that season), even if it does it won't be the same and it is going to be a very hard uphill struggle to even get it back.
If the animated series fares well on the CW seed , it might give it some momentum, but that's not guaranteed.

I would think if Constantine did return on the CW, all they really need is the star. The House of Mystery could be rebuilt, the supporting cast simply rewritten as all new characters. Don't forget, it would be part of the Arrowverse, so it'll be on the terms of those series, not what was exactly on NBC so much.Comment
