        Oh wait...

        I like Kirby's later Thing, when he really go the design nailed down. The use of heavy blacks in certain parts of the rocks made for intertesting designs.

                    I've always loved the John Buscema rendition myself, followed by Barry Windsor-Smith's version. The Marvel Fanfare Thing issue BWS he did in the 80s was superb!

                                                    1) Art's Thing
                                                    2) Late '70's Thing. I started reading Fantastic Four right around the time The Puppetmaster took control of Luke Cage. Was that Buscema that was the penciller then? Why am I thinking Buscema or Sinnot?

                                                    Not that there's anything wrong with complimenting someone on their Thing...
