    Mike Grell Black Canary Commission

    Been sharing this all over FB today but for anyone who isn't a member there or hasn't seen it, my latest commission arrived yesterday, Black Canary by Mike Grell. Another peice where I feel the artist is one of the defining ones for the character and I though this would be a nice compliment to my Caity Lotz autogrpahed photo (best BC on TV ever IMO). Also a nod to the Green Lantern/Green Arrown series I love. Did not get an GA this time as I have nothing to complement itwith display wise. None of my current hero displays are "singles" they are all part of a theme.

              Super nice! Mike Grell is probably one of the most underrated artists in the biz. Much as I loved his work on Green Arrow and Jon Sable, my first love for him will always be THE WARLORD. Wish we could get a movie out of that property!

                  Very nice. I recall admiring Grell's work on "Warlord" too, I'd love a film.
                  WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

                          Love Grell. What I find funny is try and find any original art of his from back around Sable and it's all pencils and no inks. He started a process where he would ink on acetate and then overlay it on his original pencils. Obviously from this stunning piece he can do inks too. Nice commission Mike. Just curious...how much did something like this run? I'd love to get something like this done.

                              Congrats always wanted to get some Grell artwork myself.

                                  $265 shipped. Very reasonable prices, particularly for the size.
