I debated even sharing this, but if not with the group here, than who? One of my top, possibly obscure autograph wants has been Melendy Britt. Not as the character she is most famous for (She-Ra) but as Batgirl from the "New Adventures of Batman". Yes the now infamous show with Bat-Mite. But remember this came out int he late 70's. Next to Superfriends pre-"Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends". I LOVED this show. Because I loved Batman, it had Adam West & Burt Ward returning to voice Batman & Robin, I loved the Filmation designs, and I instantly fell in love with Britt's Batgirl. Fast forward, to a few weeks ago I discovered she FINALLY opened a website. I headed straight for the shop section to look at photos I could have autographed. Much to my dismay the only Batgirl available was a "characters" shot with a small images of various characters she voiced over a headshot. Not deterred I contacted the official Facebook page connected with the site and asked if I could send anything in, of course explaining I would still happily pay the autograph fee. Within the hour I ended up exchanging a few messages with the site administrator, who gave me the P.O. Box and confirmed this could be done. I wanted to confirm first since I was going to have the photo made myself. I started searching online and eventually found a couple of images I liked. I picked the larger one and did the appropriate resizing to get it printed as an 8 x10 and put in my order with Shutterfly. While the quality still wasn't as good as other things I've had made I figured a)Most of the time I will looking at this from enough a distance it won't matter b)if this was the choice at a con I'd grab it and c)this is the internet and this site could be gone next week. So I sent the photo off Sept 29th and today it arrived! Like the mark of any good "time capsule" I smiled ear to ear when I opened the package and pulled out the below. On another nostalgia note this the only time I've completed the "double" having both the live action and animated autographs for a character from my childhood period.
