IDW Revolution #1 (Rom, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Micronauts & M.A.S.K.)

    http://www.cbr.com/revolution-1-2/
CBR has the first preview of issue #1

THE REVOLUTION BEGINS! Explosions rip across the Earth-and all signs of blame point to OPTIMUS PRIME and the TRANSFORMERS! G.I. JOE refuses to go quietly-and they assemble heroes big enough to stop the invaders! ACTION MAN and M.A.S.K. fight for humanity-but where do ROM and the MICRONAUTS stand? Celebrating more than a decade of stories by IDW and HASBRO, this unprecedented bi-weekly event draws everything together-and leaves nothing standing. The REVOLUTION is here-TAKE A STAND!

I've been reading Micronauts and ROm since the launch, but have no interest in any of the other properties in the cross-over or shared universe. If I have to buy stuff I am not interested in to keep reading the stories I am interested in, I won't and will drop the entire line. I am waiting to see how the next issues read before I decide. Any time a company gives me an all or nothing choice, I will choose nothing. If they can't be satisfied with the money I am willing to give them and try to force me to give them more, they will lose the money they are already getting instead. I no longer have the patience for that kind of cash grab that exploits the collector mentality of many of their customer base shamelessly and companies that employ it often lose my patronage. If your product isn't strong enough to sell on its own and has to rely on completionist weaknesses of your customer base for your company to thrive, you need to produce a better product not pump out stuff to exploit your customers. I pretty much feel Revolution is that kind of cash grab by Hasbro.

My kids are really excited about Revolution. I'm mildly so and I'll give it a shot.
