He basically said in the Hardtalk interview exactly what he said in the you tube posts I posted already in this thread. I agree with everything he said. I like him because it's basically "Don't BS me cause I will tell you exactly what I feel and will do." He's learned from the crap that was pulled on a lot of artists and creators. There's still nothing to be calm about because it's still going on and it needs to be addressed. As long as it is not addressed it still is a major problem in the industry. He's absolutely right when he talks about the demise of comics where it pertains to the Big Two. They are both done in my personal opinion and like Alan says in the interview...the best stuff out there right now is the stuff on the margins. Independents and self published books. I'm 100% behind that idea. He says it in the interview I posted all the parts to that he took the hard road to being a writer. He had a wife and a kid on the way when he decided to quit his job because he believed in himself and believed that he could become a writer of comics and novels. That takes balls to do something like that. I wish I had half that kind of vigor to do something like that. I'm trying and hopefully within the next year I can do what I want to do as a my own personal business. BTW, if no one has watched the entire parts of the interview that I posted...please do so. It's more detailed than the Hardtalk interview. I personally think that Alan Moore is an ARTIST in the true sense of what that word means even though he is a writer. He's been through the rough times and has come out the other end. He even talks about being an artist or writer doesn't mean that you are successful because you sold a million copies of something. I believe him when he says it and I know that there are thousands of indy people that really do this because they LOVE what they do.
