The worst villain in Suicide Squad?

No, I take that back. Who is the worst villain EVER in cinematic history?

    Kai Courtney as Captain Boomerang...

Holy mother of god, not only an awful ill conceived character (boomerang, oh, okay, he's Aussie, we get it)...but completely underpowered. He just throws boomerangs? That's it? Not even explosive boomerangs, just regular boomerangs. Dude was completely and utterly USELESS. Harley Quinn and her baseball bat was 1000 times more menacing and threatening, lol.

    Good grief...

He was useful as the scummiest of the bunch. Someone had to be "that" guy, and it was him. In that regard, also pretty close to how Boomerang was portrayed in the classic Suicide Squad comics series.

I'd have to re-watch it again to see if he used different types of boomerangs. Seems like maybe he did in the first scene when he's caught?

The captain boomerang on Arrow series was a total badass. I've only seen him the one episode but it took the team to take him down, and again he wax just a dude with boomerangs. It's all how you frame it cause this dude took down 20 armed soldiers.

I haven't seen the film and may never.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

You know, I kind of dug him in the movie and wished he had more screen time. Like Chris said, he was the "dick" of the group and it fit the character well.

They may have well brought Slipknot out with a red shirt. No flashback, just a character briefly mentioning his powers, it was so telegraphed.

Plus, Slipknot was one of the first villains to get maimed in Suicide Squad comics by the explosive bracelet they were forced to wear. So yeah, even my pal Shag of the Firestorm Fan blog was certain ol' Slipknot was toast.

I'm actually really surprised at how many of the Suicide Squad survived to the end. I would have guessed Harley, Deadshot and Boomerang would be the last standing amidst a pile of bodies.

Boomerang has always been that "spoiler" character on the Suicide Squad that is present in most memorable teams. I'm not talking about ruining the ending of movies, I mean the kind of character who is jerk that brings tension and drama within the team dynamic. Hawkeyes from the early days of the Avengers, Guy Gardner in the JLI, USAgent in Byrne's West Coast Avengers, Northstar in Alpha Flight, Wolverine in the early ANAD X-Men.

over the years, there have been some pretty obvious red-shirts in the original comic series, and I think it was a great surprise to many how fun a character Boomerang turned out to be, as John Ostrander wrote him, given how lame a Flash villain he seemed by that point.

nowhere near worst ever, I still can't get past Viper in The Wolverine. Then there was the Mandarin screw job in Iron Man 3. Ohh, and Luthor in BvS.

^^^^ yep 2 of the main ones that stick in my mind are the Mandarin in IM3 and even worse was Luthor in BvsS. Honorable mention is the Suicide Squad Leto Joker!
