looks like they are trending this way with more and more "Midnight" release parties at comic shops to stay ahead of the competition with these events (especially with common sellouts like DC Rebirth). Between the new #1 issues of every comic relaunching every year now, the hype of those new #1's and subsequent hype of selling out in advance for those with pull files when orders are allocated, this looks like it's the new trend cycle starting up.
I'm mostly a digital reader now, but in my younger days I have no doubt that I'd run out at midnight on a Tuesday if it meant I could get my stack earlier to read.
Would you leave the house at midnight to buy your comics? especially to avoid the sellouts the next day?
