    Wonder Woman Rebirth

Anyone else really enjoying this so far? I'm a fan of all 3 main creators, and they are rotating between Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott art and story lines between issues. Something we haven't really seen before.

We've had a taste of Liam Sharp's "present day" storyline in Rebirth and #1. the preview of Nicola Scott's Year 1 looks promising. Writer Greg Rucka's previous run on WW was awesome. Plus: FRANK CHO covers!

The A.V. Club digs deep into film, TV, music, games, books and more.

and it appears that Frank Cho is off the book due to conflict with the writer. Such a shame. Although he's controversial, I don't see anything out of line on his variant covers thus far, even the "censored" one seemed well within the normal boundaries.

Can't say whereas I'm a huge fan of Cho's take on WW, but after reading the article on BLEEDING COOL, it DOES seem like Greg Rucka had a little too much editorial power regarding artwork on the cover. After looking at the, what, eighth of an inch of difference between Cho's original artwork and the requested cropping because of too much skin being shown, I think Rucka went a little haywire and the fans of WW and Mr. Cho's artwork are the ones paying for his narrowness of vision. Hell's Bells, I know I saw way more skin on Starfire on various occasions.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

and all things considered with Cho's work, the variant covers, really truly, is him showing a great deal of restraint compared to his usual shenanigans.

Rucka has long had the reputation of being on of the best male writers who can capture a female's voice. So maybe he didn't want a cheesecake artist PERIOD on the book?

Does seem odd since they were just the variant covers, and I don't really see anything offensive or overly sexualized with them. It's just Cho's style...dialed back to about 2.

Like it, but I'm really digging the "Legend of Wonder Woman" mini-series.

I've heard good things about this series, and have been meaning to check it out! Along with Earth 1, funny how no less than three different Wonder Woman origin stories are all coming out practically on top of each other. Although I guess they are gearing up to have product lined up for all tastes when the Wonder woman film hits theatres.

I was really quite entertained with Morrison's new take on all of Marston's wacky and outrageous choices from the original run of the title.
