    Phyllis Coates was a much better Lois. I think the Superman community conscious will back me on that.
    Coates fit the harder edged, noir stylings of the first season. She would have been to abrasive for the rest of the series, had she not changed her character drastically. She was a real ball-buster!

      Very true, the Coates Lois could probably get herself out of trouble, and I guess you could say, less naive then Neill
      but the Lois character is basically the strong stubborn type with a bit of naive curiosity which got her into trouble and
      needing Supermans help which Neill played the role perfectly.
