Gripe about Iron Man's inconsistent powers

Might contain some slight Civi War spoilers, so be warned....

Ok, why is Iron Man able to withstand Thor's blows, which included getting hit by his Mjölnir...in their brief fight in the first Avengers movie...yet in Civil War...he gets taken down by a combination of a left mechanical arm being operated by a human...and a Vibranium shield swung by another human?

Winter Soldier and Captain America are formidable in their own right...but come on...neither is the mighty Thor.

Stuff like this bugs me to no end...

        ^Yep. That was it.

Cap in the movies is more powerful than the comics. Or at least the comics of the Bronze Age, per the Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe, etc. Comic Cap could never pull a helicopter down.

Tony never would have survived the fall in Iron Man 1 when he was escaping the terrorist camp and his jets cut out over the dessert, his armor might have survived but he would be jello inside I like the movies, just can't apply real world science and still have them make sense.

MCU's Tony Stark only has one consistent power; snarkiness.
Of all the souls I have encountered his was the most...human.

I thought Stark's power was money!
