Pass. The whole turning established characters into High School students is just as annoying as "baby-fying" everything in the 80s and 90s.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Agreed. Unfortunately, it must sell A LOT of toys, especially to preteen girls, which is a huge demographic as far as the toymaking world is concerned.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

^DC has been unwilling to keep the main versions of their characters accessible to children. So if it takes teen versions to do that, I'm fine by it.

Agreed. Especially if it puts superhero toys in the "pink" aisles.
I did a Toycon yesterday with a huge kid's crowd and I couldn't believe how many under-12 Supergirl fans are out there thanks to the new TV show.

^My daughter went straight for a pair of Supergirl pajamas and a shirt/short set this weekend, bypassing all other licensed characters, including Monster High, and that's all due to the TV show.

I think the SuperGirl TV Show is a perfect example & balance of a strong female role-model for Young Woman.

I find this Cartoon Show to be too juvenile...we should give Young Woman ALOT more credit.

              Just My Opinion.

I'm really quite indifferent to this cartoon clip myself, but I'd guess it's aimed at 5-10 year olds who identify as girls rather than Young Women. I mean we all loved Superfriends at one point and it doesn't get more juvenile than that.

I'd say the Supergirl TV show covers the female demographic spread from tween to twenties and hopefully older.

I was chatting with one mother at the show while sketching for her young daughter, and while she loves the Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman, she was kind of lamenting that it's not appropriate for her daughter's age. I'd say this cartoon would fit the bill for a 5-6 year old. Although I personally would have been rooting for Super BFF's to get the green light for series and toys in the doll aisles.

It's a cartoon aimed at kids. Super Friends was as well. I'm sure our parents rolled their eyes at how juvenile it was too.

Not every cartoon is BTAS or JLU. In fact, few are.

Cartoon Networks' main complaint about both JL/JLU AND Young Justice was they skewed too old. They wanted more shows directly aimed at kids.

Boomerang airs this, so that may have something to do with it.

My little girl who is nine loved it, aimed right at her age group. I bought all the dolls for her. She gets them next week as a present for her excellent work in school this year. This cartoon is not aimed at adults this is for the Barbie, Monster high and Everafter high age group. I watched it with her it is what it is, she totally into superheroes now thanks to this and Teen Titans.

I am sure I'll watch it. It is perfect for Eleanor (9) and Lily will probably like it too.

"This is a school for heroes." Then what are Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn doing there?
