was this being kicked around while Sgt. Pepper was in production? Its jam packed with guest stars and big names of the day and seems to have the same vibe. Wonder if it was killed due to Pepper bombing?

I remember reading about this on Jim Shooter's blog, this would have been an epic shlockfest, I so wish it got made. I think the big problem was Casablanca starting having serious financial issues (and owner Neil Bogart's health issues), so that deal fell apart. Then Marvel shopped the idea at Cannes, Bo Derek was interested in the project, which started a studio bidding war (this was soon after her success in "10", so she was a hot property). But then she had the demand that her husband John Derek had to be the director, and everyone withdrew their bid. I think the project was pretty much dead in the water at that point, but it did almost happen.

I just cannot get the idea of Kiss vs Village People out of my head. Forget about Dazzler, that would be worth the ticket to go and see.
