    Justice League Vs. Teen Titans

anyone watch it yet? it's in the new 52 timeline I guess. I did not hate it, but it is not among the better animated movies. seemed to me to just be a big commercial to push the Snyder lineup of Justice League and maybe set something up for a Titans movie or TV show. it really focuses more on the Titans than on JL but they definitely push the League version with Supes, Bats, WW, Flash and Cyborg. although they do make some joking reference to having Cyborg join the Titans. The animation was good, voice acting was okay. Starfire looked great. Guess I more of a classic Titans lineup guy. I don't care for Beast Boy or for the newer version of Blue Beatle. Give me Speedy, Knightwing, Donna Troy.....Knightwing is in it, but really only as a supporting character to kind of bridge bringing Damien Wayne Robin into the Titans

I liked it okay. My little girl is aTeen Titans fan so she liked it pretty well. I thought Doom and Red Hood were better but heck they're better than a lot of live action movies to me.

I stopped watching the DC animated movies, they became too gory to watch with my kids.

Is this one ok? It's right up their alley.

^Same here. I bought "Son of Batman" at a Wal-Mart black Friday sale for $2 and wanted my money back. Horrible.

it is violent. I don't recall any gore but I had a few beers while I was watching it, LOL. I do not like Damien Wayne either, he is truly an insufferable little ****. guess that was why they killed him off in the comics. mostly this movie deals with Raven and her father's quest to take her back so she can free him.

for what it's worth, I like that these animated movies are pg13 and are not really geared for kids, but rather for us. there are plenty of kid friendly versions on TV. I like that these are darker, more violent and sometimes outright scary. but this one, I probably would not watch again, sorry I bought it

Lots of beheading in the movie and language.

After Flashpoint, I've quit picking up any new DC animated features because they all seem to go overboard on gratuitous gore and violence denoting some kind of new attitude towards the brand that does not reflect my own. I know allot of people call this direction the "Nolan effect" but I'm beginning to think it's more the Snyder-effect because everything DC does, looks allot like another rendition of Watchmen. Just not anything that interests me and honestly registers more on the juvenile side than the adult direction which some seem to believe this tone is taking.

^Well said. Nolan made a point of having his Batman NOT kill in Batman Begins. You can argue he may have killed in Rises, but you could also argue higher stakes, etc. Either way, it wasn't gore and violence with abandon. What was violent was portrayed as ugly, not celebrated in a teen angst fantasy fashion like much of Snyder's work, and these new DC animated films.

I made the mistake of watching Flashpoint on Netflix. blah. Also agree with your comments on Nolan. If that was the case, why wasn't Trapped In Time like the others?
