Did you forget that Marvel stole the idea from DC? Back in All-Star Superman #3 in 2006:

Superman gives Lois Lane the ultimate birthday gift...for 24 hours, she gets all of his powers! Unfortunately, Lois Lane with superpowers also attracts trouble in the form of superpowered wooers...
