As you and I texted about earlier, I don't think there was ever any doubt that a DP2 was in the works. I just hope the suits at FOX, seeing the amount of money DP is hauling in, don't decide they need to stick their noses further into the project and make it more "family friendly." A PG-13 rating is likely the ONE thing that could kill Deadpool...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

^^^ Agreed! Irreverent is the ONLY way to present Deadpool. That and a super clever script like the first one. Not an easy task to achieve.

I agree absolutely. Deadpool doesn't need toning down. Maybe even turn it up a touch. I was late to the party and only saw Deadpool for the first time a few days ago and loved it. Very very funny.

Deadpool had a low budget and even lower expectations. If I was a betting man I would say the studio will be more hands on with the sequel. I wouldn't expect the next one to be near as good.

That's what I fear, as well. They'll want to shoehorn in more characters and tone down the violence. I don't think the FOX execs have ever heeded the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Haven't seen the first one yet, but I know enough about the character to know he and Wolverine would likely fit well together in an "R" rated sequel in which you'd really get to see Wolvie do what he does best.
