While Martha Wayne was always Martha Wayne, Martha Kent wasn't always Martha Kent…

In the original unpublished version that Jerry Siegel came up with the Kents were Sam and Molly.
In "Superman" #1, Mary Kent is the only parent named.
In a 1942 novel AND the George Reeves TV series, it's Eben and Sarah Kent.
In "Superman" #53 (10th Anniversary) it's John and Mary Kent.
Jonathan Kent is named in 1950 and Martha Kent is named in 1951 and it's been that way ever since...

      ^Yup.

Eben and Sarah were the names used in both the serials and the Adventures of Superman.

Mary was the name later attributed to the Earth-Two Superman's mother.

While I don't agree with everything in this...I'm not as bothered by the death count as some appear...I think he's spot-on about the incoherency of the story and certainly leaves room for more critiques.

Given its massive box office, you likely saw Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this weekend. And whether you loved it or hated it, chances are you had

Craziest aspect to me - superhero movie opens with a funeral, ends with a funeral and the one rebirth is of the main villain from the previous film. That's bleak.

Incidentally, I'll address my earlier question myself as I've read many reviews since I posted my previous post.

As far as seeing why people aren't buying the quick "buddy" change of Batman's mindset, I suppose I could chart any ignorance I may have regarding that story beat's weakness to me being predisposed to previous Batman outings where I've witnessed his attitude turn 180 upon mention of his murdered parents.

          So, yeah, maybe I'm biased.

That said: I could take many swipes at BvS, and I will, but I am also trying to be supportive due to my "DC leanings" and this "equivalent to Avengers" release, where, as a DC fan, I suppose its time to take a stand for the cinematic DC on a larger scale than ever---morose and disjointed though it may be.

Anyone try the Superman and Batman cereals yet? Superman Carmel crunch is pretty good I thought,
Batman's chocolate/strawberry not so much a fan of, but others may enjoy it.

Maybe Flash-Lantern-Aquaman and Wonder Woman will get there own cereals, or maybe will get Justice League cereal
with little marshmallows with each heroes design?

              I don't eat cereal.

That said: I hope Aquaman gets his own and that it outsells the other guys'. 'Cause Aquaman needs as much love as he can get to catch up to the other heroes.

The only cereals I like nowadays are non sugary ones, like Corn Flakes, Cheerios, Wheaties, some fiber oriented ones...and slice some fruits, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, etc...

As a kid, HoneyCombs was my favorite. I recently bought a box to relieve my childhood...had a bowl...full box is still in my cereal pantry, collecting dust, lol...

However, Corn Pops is not bad...I'll add a little bit of that into my Cheeriors, ha...

Hey Hec... My sister in law's Dad was the co-inventor of Honeycomb. Fun Fact Friday.
                  Fresh, not from concentrate.

                    Seriously???

                    That's awesome!

As I said, it was my fave as a kid. But it just doesn't taste like I remember...I read a post of Hardy Girl/Sharry saying something like the Honeycombs recipe was changed...perhaps that's why I don't care for it much today.

But thank your sister in law's dad...for he made my Saturday mornings fun, cartoons and Honeycombs, great memories indeed...

                      Yup, Sharry was right...from Wiki...

At the end of 2006, Post changed the Honeycomb's formula to improve its health content. This change, although tested by Post beforehand to positive reviews, received mainly negative reviews from consumers.

Following this public response, in March 2007, Kraft Foods (then-owner of Post Cereals) introduced a new "Improved Taste" version of the cereal that, the company claimed, would improve "the cereal's taste, texture and appearance while incorporating key nutritional benefits to the product." This was set forth in a letter that was sent to many consumers who complained to Kraft in the early months of 2007. The letter accompanied, in many instances, a complimentary box of the reworked Honeycomb. The new "Improved Taste" cereal was not as tasteful as the original version to most people who grew up with it.

                      What a bummer...no wonder I didn't like it...
