Why Zack Snyder didn't pick Grant Gustin for the film version of Flash

You know, and I know already there's going to be a ton of disagreements her ()...and don't get me wrong, I love Grant as the Flash...but I'm going to have to back Snyder up on this...

The latest news and headlines from Yahoo News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.

TVs Flash is colorful and light hearted. Batman v Superman is dark and brooding.

If Grant is the Flash in BVS...it would just contradict his character altogether.

That's why TV and film are total separate entities...and like Snyder said, whole different universes.

BTW, I'm not particularly fond of Ezra Miller as a person, he comes across as a pretentious hipster dou*he sometimes, but he's a very good actor, and to his credit...he did praise Grant's portrayal of the Flash.

Of course, Grant himself was very humble too...praising Miller's abilities as an actor.

Hey, instead of hate, and believe me, I have been wanting to punch Miller in the past for his pretentiousness...lets just enjoy the character of the Flash finally get the credit he deserves...spread the love...I'm okay with different actors playing the Flash...the fastest man alive...and probably the most powerful member of the Justice League...especially if his speed ever reaches Speed Force...

The obvious reason continually. If you have different actors playing the same character on TV and in film it's harder to suspend disbelief. Same reason Arrow was recasted because they don't want to dig up every smallville actor who played (Hawkman, Fate, Aquaman, etc) from ten years ago.

It will get really confusing when Dean Cain, Brandon Routh, Tom Welling and the new Superman actor share the same scene in Supergirl :-D

Perfectly fine with a Movie and TV Flash and I am a fan of the show and Gustin's performance.

Wondering if a popular TV show will somehow hurt the movie. After all you get perfectly good Flash for free at home.

I assume that they're probably aware of this.

To add on to my answer if the same flash is in the film some people will say I don't watch the Flash TV show so I couldn't follow the film. Hurting the profits.

Marvel's TV shows acknowledge the film universe but the Cinematic Universe doesnt register the TV shows. If that makes sense.

I understand that part of it and I think creating a movie Flash is much wiser but it's a double edged sword. I just think the route they took was less sharp and imagine the film might have cameos from other DC characters to sweeten the pot.
