Batman on Big Bang next week

Granted,it's Adam West. Still should be cool to see Sheldon's reaction.

I think Sheldon will be happy to meet Adam West. He was disgusted when Penny didn't know who Adam West was.

^I'm sure the producers will be crying in the corner from all the comics fans who vehemently hate the show.

In my opinion, it does far less damage to fandom than anything Kevin Smith has produced.

To me, you're debating which fart smells better.

I just find it not very funny and most of the references seem forced. I don't hate it because it portrays dorks in a less positive light, just because its not very good.

^I can buy that. It's something my wife and I enjoy watching together, so I can look past some of the old sitcom tropes it wallows in at times. But I don't get why some comic fans loathe it for portraying "us" so badly. Some people REALLY hate the show just for that, and I just don't get it.

^^^ I agree wholeheartedly. I guess those are the same people who wanted to jump off a bridge when Schumacher made "Batman & Robin". I think when you start personalizing fictional characters to a stage in which they determine your inner value as an individual, you've taken the hobby to a very unhealthy level. People who think like that must have a very warped and removed perception that somehow the public knows who they are and will laugh at them if a program they watch appears to showcase them personally in a unfavorable light. It's such a bizarre notion to believe someone would actually be offended by this. Life is short. Embrace the people and hobbies you love and leave the rest to the lost and confused masses who need someone to tell them who they are.

This is exactly my reality. I do cringe at times, but not because I'm offended about how the characters may or may not reflect on me. I don't get that take at all. They're a successful bunch of geeks with pretty good lives. It's a geek-based sitcom - BFD.

I love it. I look at these guys and see myself and a lot of people I know and find it hilarious.
For instance...somebody at my wife's workplace saw her out Christmas shopping buying toys and said "I didn't realize you had kids." My wife replied..."I don't. These are for my husband." LOL

I watch it. It has it's moments.

As for the main cast; Sheldon's quirkiness which made him a lovable character, has dissipated to almost nothing. The same can be said for Blossom, who was a useless character (a female Sheldon) until she broke from the original characterization and turned into "Smart Penny." Leonard has always been quite the ladies man despite being not quite the ladies man. Penny is god-awful and always has been. She is worse now that she has a real job and seems to keep reminding us of the fact that now she makes money. Sheldon, Leonard, Penny and Blossom have become the new "Friends."

For me, the strength of the show is in the supporting cast of Raj, Wolowitz and Bernadette. Their storylines are much funnier and seem to stick to the show's original formula of nerds surviving in the world. It would not bother me to see the big four disappear and just these three remain.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

I love Big Bang Theory, can't get enough of it...I watch repeat episodes over and over again. Never get tired of it. It's a must watch in our household.

Sheldon rules...but if I have to pick my absolute favorite character, that would be Wolowitz. I'd take the NASA engineer over the PH.D. dudes to fix stuff around the house anytime, lol. Plus he's just downright funny. I actually miss his mother's voice in the new episodes, RIP to that actress.

I love the rest of the cast as well, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Amy, Bernadette.

Stuart and Kripke are excellent recurring characters, both hilarious.

Shout out to Will Wheaton too...always a pleasant event every time he appears.

                        I love this show...

P.S. My absolute least favorite actor/character, and glad she was dropped (although she will make a cameo appearance in next weeks episode)...is Sara Gilbert as Leslie Winkle...not one single funny moment came outta her, not even her Sheldon "dumbarze" references...she just took the joy out of everything.

I just hope Sheldon get a restraining order from Adam West to go along with his Nimoy & Stan Lee ones.
