The opening sequence is straight from Arkham Origins, which is why it's awesome.
This movie is soooo heavily influenced by the video games. What I'm watching is how Arkahm Knight had several JLA Easter eggs throughout and the new WB game studio inadverntly confirmed a JLA game in the Arkham continuity, combine that with the change in book direction and it seems pretty clear the game division now leads creative direction.
I still don't understand why Marvel stinks in the game division. It must be due to the desire to focus on really young kids.Comment

The action scenes do look good I just hope the story is good. I do agree that it will be nice to see a movie Batman that wears a grey suit.Comment

Nice to see The Batman FINALLY moving and fighting LIKE The Batman. Burton's and Nolan's Batman movies captured part of the spirit of the character, but it looks like Snyder and Affleck (who many bemoaned when it was announced he was donning the cowl) are pretty much bringing the whole package to the screen. Granted, there still seem to be a few bonehead moments (if you're as smart as The Batman, why would you even suspect that running into Superman with the Batmobile would do little more than likely amuse him), but overall it looks like it's going to be pretty good. I would almost guarantee that Bat's armored suit is either laced with or powered by kryptonite, likely provided courtesy of Lex Luthor, who I'm sure is hoping they will just kill each other off leaving him to his evil machinations. My biggest fear is that it's going to be great all the way up until the point where they (IMHO) needlessly bring Doomsday into it. Looks ok. Fighting looks good,but I'll wait for the rest of the movie. Trailers may look good or great,but they're designed to do so. Far too many times do trailers look good and the movie.....not so much. We'll see.Comment

So true. I remember seeing the teaser trailer for GINO (Godzilla In Name Only) with MIB41 back in the summer of 97 before Men In Black and, beings the ginormous Godzilla fans that we both are, we were boggled and were thinking about how supremely badarse this Godzilla movie was going to be. Fast forward. Late April 1998. Matthew Broderick. Rain. French guy. Rain. Really bad blonde actress. Rain. Even worse Siskel and Ebert knockoffs. Rain. Godzilla. Rain. Baby Godzillas. More rain. Badarssery, sadly, nowhere to be found...
Please let us all send up a prayer to the Gods of Cinema that Superman and Batman's first meeting on the big screen will contain lots and lots and lots of badarssery. It's going to be better than Avengers 2...well, heck...a Kardashian flick would be better than Avengers 2...man, that movie blew chunks...so yeah, Batman v Superman is going to be automatically better, even if it somehow sucks...because Avengers 2 sucked donkey testes...

I would have to agree with you about this movie looking like it's going to be better than AGE OF ULTRON. In retrospect, after having watched MAN OF STEEL a few more times, with the exception of a few bone-headed plays by the writer and/or director, MOS is a better action and superhero film than AGE OF ULTRON.sigpic Oh then, what's this? And I hope people here don't take it as me being confrontational and defensive, you know, me attacking Marvel and defending DC. I thought the first Avengers was really good and a lot of fun...and the first Iron Man is now a classic in my opinion. I also think Green Lantern, well, you know I didn't like it, but out of respect for you, that's all I'm going to say, wink. Iron Man 3 was even worse than Avengers 2. And in turn, and really hate to say this, but after my initially fanboy love for Man of Steel...after repeated views, I've come to like it less and less, gulp...I'm so sorry Supes, still love you lots, lol. But yes, even Man of Steel still trumps Avengers 2...we can both agree on that...sigpicComment

Seems all the movies I like or love are failures. MoS,GL,Tarnsformers,Turtles,both last Trek movies.....and even going further back,Blade Runner,Flgiht of the Navigator,Condorman,Killer Klowns From Outer Space,Last Starfighter,Rocketeer,Galaxy Quest,Lost in Space,and way too many others. Some have become cult classics,others are just forgotten. Except by me,lol.Comment

2014's GODZILLA was heads and tails above the 1998 debacle (although, if were any monster other than Godzilla, the design of the creature itself would be fine), but it just needed a bit MORE Godzilla and a bit less of the MUTOs, which kind of felt a little like Cloverfield knockoffs.
As you can tell from my handle and my avatar, I'm a big GL fan, so I was excited to hear a big-screen GL movie was coming out. Was it perfect? By no means. They completely screwed up both Hector Hammond AND Parallax. Reynold's GL was okay, but a little too flip and cowardly for me, but Mark Strong's Sinestro was great.
There are many movies that get poor reviews or do poorly at the box office that I dearly love, so you're not alone in your love of the underdogs...sigpic Oh then, what's this?
