New Zorro movie

set in a post apocalyptic world. this has my attention now. I love Zorro but in a lot of ways the classic tale is very dated. this, if done right, could be really, really cool

I do not like this, the son of Alfonso Cuarón has done nothing, I mean, he supposedly co-wrote Gravity, but we all know that was his father.

Why can't it be directed by Alfonso instead?

Seems like a case of established Oscar winning director hooking up his son for a first time gig.

Having said that...I was hoping someone like Demián Bichir would get a crack at being Zorro, but he's 52, too old now.

Going to be hard pressed to beat the Banderas movie. I think I would prefer it set in the past, but fingers crossed, I hope it will be good.

Agreed. The Banderas/Hopkins/Zeta-Jones Zorro vehicle will be hard-pressed to top. The movie had just the right balance of action, humour, drama and, yeah, even romance. I love that movie. It's hard to believe it's by the very same man who brought us Green Lantern...
