Marvel heroes vs. DC heroes... who would win?

Imagine a battle royale between Marvel's and DC's most popular big shots...
The rules are simple:
1) No villains or "indifferent" characters (Galactus etc)
2) No all powerful beings (Spectre, Beyonder etc)
3) No obscure characters no one's heard of but you

I see it like this:

Marvel beats DC by a nose!

avengers + x men combine to defeat jla


breaking it down further...

hulk vs supes draw
vision vs lantern draw
thor vs hawk/girl draw
rogue vs wonderwoman draw
ironman,cyclops,storm vs flash, bats draw
prof x, jean defeat martian manhunter

"second stage" battles:

dr strange vs dr fate draw
namor vs aquaman draw
she hulk vs supergirl draw

Now I know I'm forgetting some characters...

How do you guys see it going?

don't know too much about d.c. characters but some marvel characters who are really powerful you didn't mention

hyperion
hercules
goliath
sentry
i would definately want the above on my side if i was taking on the d.c. guys.

Yeah, I'm not sure I agree with this premise at all. Two Marvel teams to take out one DC team? Seems skewed at the outset. And I'd not say Superman/Hulk or Aquaman/Sub-Mariner are draws...

Someone said here years ago that DC has better heroes and Marvel better foes; it's always struck me as rather apt.

Bronze Age Supes beats the Hulk, though. Not sure about the post-Byrne Superman, though.

Highly unlikely. At any rate, Namor's biggest asset has been his bad attitude, and Arthur can match that nowadays.

Well, my thinking was: the JLA is too powerful for any one Marvel team. So, gang up on them and let the other matchups take shape.
And oops! I forgot Namor doesn't command sea life, does he??
I tried to stick to only the most popular heroes, but if we bring in the entire Lantern Corps... that'll change things!
Isn't the Silver Surfer kind of "indifferent?"
I suppose Dr. Strange could cast a game changing spell as well... maybe he neutralizes the JLA all by himself!
