    Favorite Marvel "Extra" Movie Scene

    Which was your favorite?

Marvel has really made an art form out of the mid-credit and post credits scene. I just re-watched Captain America: Winter Soldier and really loved the scene where Bucky is taking in the Capt America museum display. It got me thinking about all the cool extra scenes and which was my favorite- seeing Mjolnir in the desert or Howard the Duck. But my favorite...

It has to be the first- Nick Fury' surprise visit to Tony Stark at the end of Iron Man. Maybe it was the freshness and innocent way I came upon it (as I was walking out of the theater, I noticed how many people were staying and I told my wife, "My nerds know something.") but it was more likely that I am a huge Avengers fan. When Fury turned from his cliche-but-still-so-cool-looking-away-stance and I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative... well, the I smiled like an excited school boy!

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

I'd probably have to agree with you on this being my favorite post-credits scene because that's when you get a real idea of what the MCU could really be. It's astounding that it was able to be pulled off without being spoiled before the movie opened, which made the surprise of it even greater. As a big fan of Thor, seeing Mjolnir sitting in the desert at the end of IM2 was pretty darned cool, too. Third runner up for me has to be the reveal of Thanos at the end of The Avengers. I mean, think about it; how many of us here EVER thought we would see some of these great MARVEL characters make it to the big screen in a quality form, let alone the Mad Titan himself. That's when I knew the people overseeing the MCU knew exactly where they were heading. Granted, his appearance at the end of Age of Ultron seemed a little out of place and shoehorned in, but hopefully, they can make up for it with The Infinity War.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

They're fun, aren't they? Just a little extra tease to the audience.

For some reason, the shawarma one from Avengers stands out in my mind.

I like the one from The Incredible Hulk. I just like Tony showing up in the bar. I mean we got all of the Captain America hints during the movie, then they hit with that at the end.

^Yeah, that one really cemented the Marvel UNIVERSE to me. Fury was a great start, but he hadn't been in another movie. Tony Stark walking into the bar Ross was in just a few months after Iron Man hit theaters was a revelation.

I thought the scene taken directly from Captain America Civil War at the end of Ant-Man was a great tease.

The recent Funko Pops announcement for Civil War has spoiled a Scott Lang related plot point today.
