    Night Nurse 1972

A very rare short-run marvel series from the early 70's.

Before breaking out on Deadpool, Gail Simone was originally supposed to do a Marvel Max Night Nurse series in the early 2000's with Jill Thompson. I was HUGELY disappointed it never came out given that the premise sounded like a lot of fun. Brian Bendis would run with in his run on Daredevil though, before BK Vaughn picked up the ball in Doctor Strange. I'm suspecting that the reason why Rosario Dawson's character does not bear the name nor the title Night Nurse is the the Marvel Cinematic U has dibs via Doctor Strange? Although in this day and age, a character called Linda Carter in a superhero show might cause some chuckles?

Those are tough back issues to find...can have a hefty price in mint condition. Nothing special in it, romance. There were actually 3 "Night Nurses" in the original series, but only the Linda one carried on.
There was an earlier Linda Carter Student Nurse series in the 60s.

The current version of Night Nurse running the clinics is a great idea. Surprised Marvel hasn't done a full series.

That 70s one kinda looks like a soap opera in comic book form, kinda like Mary Worth or Rex Morgan, M.D.

I had no idea about Student Nurse! Having Night Nurse and Patsy Walker kicking around the same Marvel TV Universe is pretty awesome given their Romance Comics roots.

You have to remember that there were many different Night Nurses:
            Linda Carter
            Christine Palmer
            Georgia Jenkins
            Claire Temple

So just because Marvel wants to use the title "Night Nurse" in Doctor Strange doesn't mean that the nurse in Netflix's Defenders series is not a Night Nurse.

Wonder if Lady Cop was based on Angie Dickenson's Police Woman?
