    And X-Men fans can rejoice since he wouldn't have fit in very well with the Legion.

      A lot of the "New" X-Men were based on designs or characters Cockrum had created to use in Legion. Then he turned around and riffed on the Legion with the Shiar Imperial Guard in X-Men.
