Anybody noticed how much taller Affleck is to Cavill when they first meet as Bruce and Clark?

Yeah. I caught that. For an older Wayne I found that kind of odd but it fits the material here. I like the fact Wayne is not portraying himself like a playboy here. There seems to be less distance between himself and Batman which, to me, makes sense if you remained in the role that long. That piece of it I am liking.

^The animated series even went in that direction. Conroy played his Bruce/Bats closer from TNBA onwards.

I'm happy to see some humor and levity here. I think Superman fans will be pleased that Batman is coming across as the badguy, at least in this trailer. Even though I'm more of a Batman guy, Supes is right behind him, and I'm sick and tired of Supes getting treated this way.

Not sure about the look of Doomsday, or Zod becoming Doomsday...but hey, why not? At this point, it's kind of put up or shut up with the WB/DC movies. Man of Steel was a moderate success and divisive at best. They are stacking the deck to try and regain ground lost to Marvel.

I feel way more positive in the film's direction with this trailer as the first looks made it out to be a Frank Miller wankfest.

Count me in on impish Luthor not working for me.

Doomsday? Always a gimmick character to me, here's he's just a plot device. His look is fine.

Lex Luthor is over the top in that trailer. Looks like he is trying to be all Mark Hamill's Trickster.

Just a couple more nitpicks. In the last scene, why is Batman carrying a gun? Batman HATES guns, so there is no logic for him to be brandishing one now. Also, I really hope that the music they played in the trailer is just some generic music they picked out for it, otherwise the 80s are going to call and want their music back...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I wish DC would follow some type of chronological order with these movies instead of trying to pick and choose elements from all over the 60 plus years of comic book stories. Doomsday was a big deal in the comics because after all those years and stories and history finally built up to this un-stopable threat for Superman, it meant something. Throwing Doomsday at Superman in his second movie diminishes everything and gives these movies a kind of "Greatest Hits" type of feeling, like a high-lite clip, if that makes any sense. I want to like all these comic book movies, they feature characters that I have enjoyed all my life, but Marvel seems to be building a believable movie version of their universe while DC keeps jumping around and hoping something works.

I thought it looked decent up until Doomsday showed and then Wonder Woman....

Can not believe I am reading opinions about Wonder Woman's looks. Wow. Someone please define sexism here for me. Sheesh. Personally, I am interested in how her character, &strength of character, is written and develops. And for what it's worth, the actress is stunning as an Amazon: It's about quality of acting, and a (an albeit fantasy-based) believably conveyed development of character. The character has many heights and body types in many offerings; um, do such details not also apply to different takes on Batman and Superman? I can imagine boiling down Superman and Batman's actor-first-impressions to whether or not they are pretty. Scoff. Oh, and incidentally, where's Aquaman already?

Just watched Man from UNCLE and I feel like Cavill is absolutely perfect for Superman. I just wish his portrayal of Man of Steel was more breezy and confident like his UNCLE performance (including the dry sense of humour). I think it would be a much needed contrast, like how the Batman-Superman relationship plays out in the 90's animated DCU.

Not digging Luther here. My pick for the perfect actor to play Luther is Giancarlo Espisito.

Interesting choice . . . although he's probably too old for the part now, I've always thought Ed Harris would malee a perfect Luthor.
