I'm going to have to graciously disagree with you there.
While I took issue with that teaser...I wasn't aware that it's most likely a Wayne dream sequence...my only gripe was seeing Superman in some sort of baddie mode...but he's more than likely, not going to be a meanie.
The last Avengers movie sucked...it left a bad taste in my mouth...Iron Man 3 is the worst big budget superhero movie of all times...so Civil War is not, in my opinion, going to be a sure thing...you never know.
To me, Superman trumps any other superhero by a mile...and having the first ever Batman and Superman finally together on the silver screen...has me giddy beyond belief...more so than any Marvel flick. Now, perhaps Civil War will be eventually better...we don't know...but as far as anticipation goes...Batman v Superman is THE superhero I've been waiting all my life.sigpicComment

I watched the trailer and, while I have no way of saying for certain, it sure seems like it's some kind of nightmare that Wayne's having (after all, not only is he captured and seemingly helpless, not a Batman trait at all, his secret identity is also revealed by an alien whom he fears could destroy the human race) or Superman is under some type of (perhaps) kryptonite fueled-mind control. I think I'd prefer the dream sequence version. We really don't need to see Superman portrayed as a bad guy, or even a pseudo-bad guy, for the first Superman/Batman big screen outing.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Do not get me wrong. I hated Iron Man 3 but I did enjoy Avengers 2 (even if it could have been cut down) . I have stock in both Disney/Marvel and Warner Bros so it is a win-win for me. I have been a DC Comic book fan more than Marvel Comics up till the DCnU and the All New Marvel Universe.
What seems to bother me is Batman movies have become action figure driven before the Iron Man movies came out. I had hoped that after the Dark Knight movies we had moved past this (I was not a fan of them). So far in what has been released we have 3 different costumes in one movie.
Maby come Weds. the trailer may prove to be better but so far I am not jumping on the DCCU bandwagon.Visit my wiki site:

Okay, here's where the wheels come off. Batman looks RIDICULOUS in a trench coat. This is where too much realism weakens a fantasy concept.
Other than that, it looks intriguing. They are doing a decent job of keeping us guessing exactly how this all fits together.
I had some co-workers ask me about the film yesterday. A large number of "normal" people don't understand why Superman and Batman would be fighting. The adherence to the gospel of Frank Miller may not be as all-appealing as Snyder and company think.

Trailers can be a bit deceiving it's an attention grabber especially when there's a bunch, so I just take them as they come, I'll see the movie and make a decision then. Superman unlike Batman is technically an alien, but the ultimate good guy
and could easily pummel Batman straight up. This movie should be an hopefully a blockbuster success, can't wait to go see it and will root for Superman bad or good.Comment

Another view of what Bruce seems to be wearing in that unmasking moment... some kind of desert military gear... Wonder what the context of this is... Those shocktrooper type characters who kneel in that teaser have the "S" emblem on their uniforms... Some kind of fanatical troops loyal to Superman? Interesting...
