Man, it's good to see some classic Steranko, who you can tell, was definitely a disciple of Jack "King" Kirby. Lots of young, up and coming artists could learn a thing or three just by studying these gentlemen's style, dynanacism and line work! Thanks for posting that, swordsman of the night...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
Love Steranko's brief run on Captain America. This classic lunch box combines a lifted Steranko figure with some Kirby villains. The perfect combo! I have one sitting on my pantry in our kitchen. This photo isn't mine, but you can see Steranko's style right away.
This is what Agents of SHIELD is missing! Too many suits and karate kicks, not enough gadgets and psychedelic tech. If Agent May dressed more like Steranko's Contessa the ratings would triple!
Gotta Love me some Steranko! Classic and I mean classic stuff in the truest sense of the word. His Nick Fury stuff still holds up 50 years later! Style and content! Loved his preview mags too! The Shadow paintings were spectacular! Indy concept art tooooooooooooooo cool! He did some creative comic experiments that are overlooked today.
