                  Is that from yet ANOTHER wave of the Superman/Batman line? Might be from the aliens arc...I know Despero is being released as part of that wave.

                              I think you were right the first time Anthony. According to AFI, its from a Superman/Batman wave that is based on an arc drawn by Ethan Van Sciver, and that ugly head is an extra that comes with the regular Superman. Despero, Batman and Green Lantern are also in that wave.

                                  Ahhh....everything I looked at didn't show or mention the extra-head. Maybe it's so ugly it's not really a selling point!

                                                      No, from what I recall (not sure if I finished reading the arc*), an alien entity was bringing out the "alien" side of a lot of DC heroes (like Supes, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, etc.).

                                                      * I've gotten bored with "Superman/Batman"...I liked the Leobs/McGuiness run on it be haven't cared much for the creative teams since then.
