There is now some speculation that part of the Eye of Agamotto is the Time Gem, which would explain not only Dr. Strange making it onto the big screen prior to the next Avengers movie, but also WHY he would become essential to the next two Avengers movies. I just hope that they maintain proper continuity and can find some way of emphasizing that the events that lead to Stephen Strange becoming Doctor Strange take place prior to CA:TWS. After all, if he's just a basic, broken neurosurgeon, why would he have been amongst the targets listed in TWS. Tricky, tricky, tricky. The devil is in the details...

I just got around to reading the article. What I took away (besides Steve Gerber's lsd influenced writing on his 70's run) is that this is going to the most experimental film treatment marvel has done yet and it's about freaking time.
