is anyone actually watching the animated Guardians?

I really wanted to love this cartoon. tried sitting through 2 episodes and could not make it either time. I don't know what it is. maybe it is the way they make the characters so one dimensional. basically a stereotype of what the movie characters were. it just gets annoying

    what do you all think?

Marvel Animated went straight to crap when they took it away from the original Earths Mightiest Heroes Chris Yost group, and gave it to Man Of Action. It was a Disney decision to try and make the cartoons align with the movies comedic tone and it's all horrible. My kids won't watch any of them now.

Really? That stinks. I havent watched it yet, but I cant get through one episode of Spider-man. The Avengers is ridiculously juvenile, and the characters power levels adjust to meet the story, but I can make it through an episode, here and there.

Same here. I can't make it through an episode of Guardians, Ultimate Spider-Man or Hulk Agents of Smash.
The constant referrals to Spider-Man training to become 'ultimate' Spider-Man by Nick Fury just nauseate me they're so bad.
Every time a new character is introduced, everything stops so their name and a glamour shot can be flashed across the screen...it's all just so utterly ridiculous.
Meanwhile, they refuse to release any of the truly great classic Marvel cartoons on DVD.

I can't get past Will Freidele's voice as Starlord. I loved him on Batman Beyond and other shows, but hes' using his high-pitched "whiny" voice for Starlord. Bad move.

My kids enjoy the shows, which is the point. But I miss the Timmverse shows, where both kids AND adults could equally get into them.

my son would not even sit through an episode. it's too bad really because it could have been great if done right. there is no reason it cannot be enjoyable for kids as well as adults and the Timmverse is a perfect example

I haven't seen it yet. I did see a half a dozen episodes of the ultimate Spiderman . I thought it was extremely bad. I know its a kids show but X-Men in the 90's didn't dumb it down for younger audiences. They told a story and kids and adults enjoyed the ride. Same with Spider friends although there was a "Hooray for education" line by Iceman that was cringeworthy.

One of the kids left it on and i caught a minute or so, can't see myself tuning in.

I haven't really enjoyed a superhero cartoon series since JLU, that last Avengers almost had me when they gassed it and seemed to produce a dumbed down version.

It was a great movie. The line up for Guardians has been that way since 2008. Groot was a silver age monster, Starlord, Drax, and Rocket all debuted in the bronze age. An older comic dealer said to me he couldn't believe Guardians was a hit movie because he remembers nobody cares about them in the 1970's. It's a different group. Still the popularity has made the original lineup more relevant.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Timm and Dini are coming back with a new JLA show around BvS. I think it's called Justice League Action

^I've heard the name, and saw the poster, but I hadn't heard Timm and Dini were involved. I had hoped, given the shape of the designs looked Timm-like.
