I have decided that this version of Gotham is just another Elseworld tv series were comic book myth get put into the blender and put back together as best they can. As far I can figure at this rate James Gordon will become Batman with Bruce covering the cost.

Enjoyment of a show is subjective so there is no way to prove it is better or worse than Flash but imo its too dark and violent for pre-teens so that throws out that demographic. The premise of 14 year old Bruce Wayne ( meaning no chance of Batman ever appearing) is pretty dumb to begin with. The Villains are all atleast 10 years older than him, so it turns out Batman was just beating up geriatrics :/
But anyway my post was about the Babara Gordon mess. Which doesn't look salvageable at this point. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

Just finished last week's eppy of GOTHAM. Not a ton of action, but lots of interesting developments. It's a good thing Alfred works for Bruce Wayne; he seems to spend a lot of time in the hospital! LOL! Still, he is a tough dude and, despite getting the tar beat out of him by "Mr. Cupcake," he still managed to take him out. A lot of Batman's skills and fighting knowledge, at least in this version of the story, are coming via Alfred, which is pretty cool.
Did anyone catch Hugo Strange's reference to the formula they were using on Oswald Cobblepot as "Crane's." Presumably Jonathan Crane's? A little foreshadowing of The Scarecrow?
Loved the scene at the bar. Even if he's not likely to show up in Gotham, you can still really feel The Joker's presence, almost as if he were being created simultaneously, but unseen, by Gotham much as The Batman is. I liked the trademark rictus grin on the mask of one of the bar's patrons. It was great to see Lori Petty back in action and if her Jeri wasn't a definite nod to both Mistah J and Harley Quinn, I'll eat my own shorts. Splendid dialogue between she and Bruce.
And, of course, Bruce's conversation with "Matches" Malone. Really well performed on the part of both players. Looks like Bruce is learning early that death will accomplish nothing, especially when it's sought after as penance for a life of wrongdoing. Of course, did Malone REALLY ice the Wayne's or is Joe Chill still lurking out there in the streets of Gotham?
Looking forward to tonight's episode as it looks as though Edward Nygma is going to go deeper into his "Riddler" persona.Last edited by emeraldknight47; Mar 21, '16, 10:59 AM.sigpic Oh then, what's this? I skimmed the thread, so I know I missed some of the conversation =
I got way behind. I tuned in to see Freeze. I was thrilled to see Pee Wee!!!!! He is perfect for this roll.
As far as Batgirl... I don't know how (or if) they will address this.
I was not thrilled with the show, but I have regained interest. I am on Prisoners 3/28
-and on the scale of current live action comic TV it is a distant second behind Flash. Legends of tomorrow is tied for second and picking up steam, Supergirl is a little better than it was, Arrow had an incredible season one with a steep decline since.
How amazing is it that the worst superhero TV today is far superior to yesterday's best live TV?Comment
