When you see it on a man, you realize how similar the classic Kubert Hawkgirl helmet is to the later Wolverine mask.

Which begs the question if they can make a mask/helmet look that decent for a TV show, how is it Wolvie has gone without his trademark mask/helmet all these years? LOL!
Overall, they both look pretty good and, with their choices in materials (leather and meshy-looking fabric) and colors, they should fit into the Arrowverse quite nicely.sigpic Oh then, what's this? OK, I'll say it -- I like my Thanagarians with more skin showing. That said, I'm OK with this look, and as others have pointed it out, it is in keeping with the rest of the Arrow/Flash continuity.
Though it didn't pull together 100%, I did like the idea of the brass breastplate approach they took for Hawkman on Smallville . . .

Happy to see them. But frankly, Hawkman's helmet/mask looks owlish to me. Not that that's terrible--I love Owlman, Night- Owl & Dell's Owl. If the characters are written well, it will likely mitigate my disappointment with the Hawkman's mask. Hawkgirl's looks solid, but the design of Hawkman's mask (especially Kubert's version ) is so great, why not just duplicate it. The guy looks like a really nice alternate version of Wolverine. With the wings, I might get used to it, but from this still, it's a swing and a miss for me.Comment
