I know alot of you have dropped modern titles but is anyone reading any of the Secret Wars books? I can't get over how bad they are. And them showing up late is even worse.. I can only stand a couple like Captain Marvel and Amazing Spiderman, the rest are so hard to follow. Each world has the same characters.. I can't wait for the reboot to finally happen

I started reading the actual main book... got three in and gave up. Haven't read any spin-off books, etc.

Marvel has gotten so bad lately I'm ready to just say the hell with it and dump my entire collection. The Marvel I grew up with is long gone, and unlike DC, who at least gives fans of old school great stuff like Batman 66 and Wonder Woman 77, and releases all their old TV shows and cartoons on DVD, Marvel acts like they're ashamed of their own history. They've discontinued Marvel Masterworks to discourage the reading of back issues and they absolutely REFUSE to release the 60's, 70's and 80's classic Marvel cartoons or live action Spider-Man series on DVD. I've given up and hope of ever seeing those great series again.

Everything is Marvel NOW, and Marvel NOW SUUUUUUUUUCKS. They've got Hip-Hop variant covers coming. Captain America is black. Thor's a woman. Iceman's gay, and now the Hulk is Korean. Marvel can take their garbage and stick it you know where. I'm done.

I've been picking up the main Secret Wars series plus Ultimate End. Just curious to see how the whole event ends.

The new Hulk is actually a Korean guy who, from what I've read, "enjoys becoming the Hulk." Plus, instead of the original Hulk's disheveled hair, new Hurk (ya have to put an Asian spin on the "L" now") is sporting one of the oh-so popular fauxhawks. UGH!

Even worse is the book's title. The Incredible Hulk is now The Totally Awesome Hulk. BAAAARF.

Are you kidding about the Hulk? It sounds too much like a character from The Awesomes, Sumo. Have they gone to ripping off characters that were originally a parody? Pathetic!

these changes sound far worse than anything DC did with the New 52. I am surprised they did that with the success of the movies and how known all these characters are to the general public now. I mean someone sees and loves the movies, decides to go check out some actual comic books and what do they find on the shelf, a woman as Thor, a Korean dude with a Mohawk is the Hulk? person would turn around and walk right out, go home and pop in the bluray of the Avengers

The difference between Marvel and DC is, Marvel knows this is all just a stunt and will go back to the status quo eventually. Unfortunately, over at DC, DiDio, Lee and Johns are convinced they are brilliant, so they refuse to flush the floater that is the New 52.
